It's Rudolph Day over at Sarn's blog Stamping for Pleasure.

Here's my card....

I've gone for clean and simple this time....stamped image from Lili of the Valley, sentiment is a stamp by Paula Pascual, coloured with Spectrum Noir pens and a little glitter on the wings.
Hope you like it!

Waltzingmouse Flower show

So much inspiration but what to choose!!
My first challenge was to work out what this CASE business was all about...I thought I knew but wasn't sure so thankyou to the kind WM ladies who helped me.
I was especially taken with Taheera's beautiful card here...

It just felt so delicate and Springlike.
So I thought I would do all four seasons and here is my version.

I used the Teeny Trees, Folk Art Medallion, A Good Egg and Vintage Christmas Backgrounder.
The frame was 99p from the local charity shop...a little paint and rub-on metallic wax...perfect!!
The picture is now hanging in my hallway...just waiting for my husband to realise I've been busy with hammer and nails!!
Hope you like it.

Spring flowers Blog Party

Time for the Waltzingmouse blog party and some Spring flowers.

After all this miserable weather it's definitely time for some Spring sunshine and flowers!!
I thought my craft room needed a little brightening up with some flowers...I'm not good with real plants so paper ones are just the ticket.....

I think the colours may be more Tropical spring than English spring!!
I used Waltzingmouse dainty doilies large set  stamped and embossed in white.
I cut them out, layered them up and used a brad to hold them together.

Now I just need to jazz up the tin they're standing in!!
Hope you like my take on Spring flowers.

Spring has sprung!!

At least in card-land it has!!
I was asked to make a card for a lady with poor vision so I thought bright, colourful and with texture...

I was inspired by the flowerpot cards I'd seen on pinterest. The flowers are quite heavy so I made an easel card as I thought it would support them well.
The flowers are made using a variety of dies and patterned paper. The pot is a spellbinders die cut down and embossed with a trellis pattern.
Butterflies, gems and a cute little ladybird to finish...plenty to explore by touch.
Hope you like it...

Secret Santa

I love Secret Santa card swaps!!
This is the beautiful card I received from Melissa Ladd in the Waltzingmouse Christmas card exchange.

The lantern is gold and sparkly with lovely paper layers behind it.
The central panel is one of my favourite colours and perfectly co-ordinates with my sitting room!!
Thankyou Melissa....your card took pride of place on my mantelpiece.

Memory jar 2013

We saw lots of ideas on the internet for memory jars and Niamh fancied having a go....the idea is to write on a slip of paper every time you do something exciting, or if something good happens or you're especially happy about something. All the pieces of paper go into the jar and at the end of the year you open it up and look back at all the good stuff.
So here is Niamh and her empty jar...just decorated with a few stickers.

Look out for an update in December with hopefully a jar full of goodness!!  :)

I think I might make one for myself too....after all we all need some happiness!!

Nearly there!!

Nearly Christmas and I'm nearly ready!!!
Thought I'd post a few pics of my last makes....had to keep some of them under wraps till Niamh got home from university.

First is Niamh's advent calendar for this year...I know there are only 12 drawers  but she had the first half of it at university!
It's made from matchbox style drawers covered with a selection of papers and jewelled brads for handles.
The number tags and trees are detachable so the drawers can be used all year round!!

This is a lantern I made at a craft club I go to...inside is a battery operated tealight. It's really effective shining through the vellum windows.

Last of all...a  card for my daughter...pretty in pink. It is a box card with a Lily of the Valley stamped image  inside and pink and silver poinsettias to decorate inside and out.

Have a lovely Christmas everyone!!
