Waltzingmouse Fanatics...challenge 18

This challenge was to use texture in your card so here is my effort...

The background uses embossing folders to create a cloudy sky and a perfectly striped lawn.
The fence is the WMS woodgrain stamp cut up and made into a fence, embossed flowerpots and fringed grass. The little birdie is punched from old WMS packaging!!
Hope you like it.

Waltzingmouse Fanatics challenge 14

This challenge was to make a card using mustard pot colours!!

So...here's what I made...

I used the zig zag background and stamped it twice in blue and grey with a masked piece for the sun.
The ships and sentiment are from the Ocean Bound set.
Then I decided to try a more feminine card with the same colours and to have a go at a technique I've not tried before...triple stamping...tutorial here on Splitcoast stampers.

This time I used my first ever and one of my favourite WMS stamp sets...
Flourishes and flowers from 2 step floral sprig. A  punched butterfly and a few sparkles to finish!
Hope you like them and they're "mustardy" enough!!

Card in a box

I'd seen these all over Pinterest and facebook so I thought I'd have a go at making one too.
I made this a few days ago but had to wait for the recipient to get the card before posting as I made it for my daughter to give to one of her best friends.

Sarah is a medical student so I thought these Indigo Blu stamps would be perfect.
The card was very easy to make, folds flat for posting and looks impressive...
what more can you ask for!!

So proud...

...of my daughter!!
She is currently studying for a degree in Education and would like to be a teacher.
She just found out that she has been accepted by all three universities she applied to for her post graduate teacher training course. She is very happy and we are very proud!!

This is the card I made to send to her...

The papers, ribbon and rosette are all from the Papermania Sew Lovely collection and the die is a Karen Burniston pop-up and insert from Sizzix.
Hope you like it...

Waltzingmouse Fanatics...use fabric

Just a quick post before I start night duty .
Thought I'd have a go at the latest waltzingmouse fanatics challenge which is to use fabric on a project  and WM stamps of course!!

I used a Karen Burniston die from sizzix to make the card base and framelits dies for the layered pieces.
I'd seen a tutorial on YouTube using freezer paper so I thought I'd give it a go...I ironed the floral fabric onto the freezer paper and it die cut beautifully.
The butterfly and sentiment are both Waltzingmouse...I did give up on cutting out the butterfly's antennae...pearly pins were so much easier!!
Hope you like it.

A Pop-up Christmas

I've recently invested in some new Sizzix dies because I was so inspired by Karen Burniston and her creations!!
I loved this idea in one of Karen's YouTube videos... Ustamp snowflake chain and as I had the stamps and dies I thought I would give it a go!!
It wasn't without incident as I managed to stick my first sheet of beautifully stamped vellum firmly to the kitchen floor!!
Apart from that it was relatively straightforward even if the finished result was a little wonky.

Snowflake stamps and dies by Stampin Up.
The "let it snow" is a Tonic die that came as part of a set.

Hope you like it!!
